I only recently discovered that it was possible to add an SSD to a laptop by using a caddy in the dvd drive slot. The total cost of about £30 enabled me to clone my Windows 10 C partition and my data partition (music & photos are on another partition) while retaining the 1Tb hard drive. This has reduced boot time by 75% and speeded up general processing. Another £6 on a dvd drive caddy keeps that available if I need to access optical media.

Great little ssd - super value for money. Maybe not as quick as the higher priced articles but good enough!
