In October 2001, Apple introduced their first iPod, a portable digital music player. Its signature features included; an LCD, easy to use interface, and a large capacity drive (initially just 5GB). Apple has since revised its iPod line several times, introducing slimmer, more compact designs, Windows compatibility, AAC compatibility, increasing storage sizes and easier connectivity with car or home stereo systems. In 2005 Apple unveiled its iPod nano the pencil-thin marvel featuring a color display, up to 14 hours of battery life and space for up to 1,000 skip-free songs, audiobooks and podcasts. Also, the new iPod Video with its 320 x 240-pixel QVGA color display lets you view photos and watch MPEG-4 video wherever you go!
